
The regular season ended with two district championships and five playoff teams from Orange County and Deweyville. The playoffs begin this week and you can see the lineup here.

WOS 22 H-Fannett 20
The Longhorns took a 10-0 lead into the second quarter before Khelvy Jefferson ripped off a long run for a TD to cut into the lead. H-F then fumbled the kickoff and the Mustangs scored (missed PAT) on a Kwalin Dugas pass to Anterrion Fontenot to take a 13-10 lead. In the fourth quarter down 17-13, WOS scored and tried for two and failed. HF would take advantage of a fumbled punt and kick a FG to go up 20-19. The Mustangs maneuvered downfield and with less than a minute, Brian Hernandez kicked the game winning FG. Jefferson finished with 200 yds. rushing on 25 carries and 2TD’s.

Bridge City 22 Huffman 21
The Cards were down 11 going into the fourth quarter. The defense stuffed the Falcons and gave BC a short field. Abraham Munguia scored on a run to make it 21-16 after failing on a 2-point try. Ashton Sumrall gave BC the 22-21 lead with 1:55 left and they missed another two point try. The Falcons moved the ball down the field but Ethan Hernandez sealed the win with an interception in the endzone. Sumrall finished with 22 carries for 121 yds.

Lumberton 49 LCM 30
The Raiders came out of the gate swinging with 21 first quarter points. Lumberton kept in on the ground with 323 yds between two RB’s (Williams, Cratic) while only throwing nine times. KD Reed tried to keep the Bears in it with a monster game. He had five catches from Jakson Struwe for 158 yds. and four touchdowns (36, 32, 69, 14). J’Lynn Morris ran 18 times for 101 yds.

Vidor 65 Livingston 45
After a rough start the Pirates won two of their last three and lost last week by one point. Vidor went off in the first half to lead 44-19. Landon Jones lead the way with a reported 175 yds. and three scores.
