
Glenn A. Campbell, 87, of Orange, Texas, passed away on October 21, 2025, in Orange.
Born in Zwolle, Louisiana, on August 20, 1938, he was the son of Robert Campbell and Catherine Nigreville Campbell. As a cement finisher union president, Glenn was not only a skilled craftsman but also a leader who advocated for the rights and well-being of his colleagues. Outside of his professional commitments, Glenn found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, often seeking solace by the water’s edge. Glenn also held a fondness for card games. He relished the opportunity to gather around the table with family, where shared moments fostered deep connections and created lasting memories. In reflecting on his life, it is clear that Glenn was a man of both strength and warmth, embodying the spirit of community and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Catherine Campbell; his loving wife, Norma Gaye Campbell; and his siblings, Mary Johnson, Travis Campbell, Raymond Campbell, Raleigh Campbell, and Alton “Buddy” Campbell.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Campbell Urey; his grandchild, Kristi Morgan and husband, Wade; his great-grandchildren, Heather, Helen “Bridgett”, and Aubrea; his sister, Kathy Jones and husband, Gerald; his brother, Donald Campbell; his brothers-in-law Ronnie and wife, and Janice Simar and John Simar; his son-in-law Darrell Urey and wife Kim; Ricky & Bettie Roy and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. There will be a Celebration of Life held at the family home on November 22, 2025.
