Orange County will be sending two ladies to the State Cross Country Meet in Round Rock.
LCM freshman Marren Crawford finished 15th overall at the 4A Region III Meet in Huntsville on Tuesday with a time of 12:46. Bridge City junior Camryn Cross was 17th with a time of 12:47. The State Meet is Nov. 1 at Old Settler’s Park.
LCM as a team finished 9th out of 23 teams. Huffman was second, Hamshire-Fannett 10th, Lumberton 16th and Silsbee 21st.
In the boys race, LCM’s Chase Peacock had the best area time. He finished 20th with a time of 16:50. The Bears were 10th as a team. Lumberton was 13th and Vidor 18th.
In the 3A Regional on Monday Orangefield’s Aubree Beck lead the Lady Bobcats with a 54th place finish with a time of 13:57. OF was 17th as a team. E.Chambers was 6th and Kirbyville 23rd. Rylan Agerton lead the Bobcat boys with a 50th place finish with a time of 18:27. OF was 17th, EC 10th and Kirbyville 21st.
