SALTWATER
Sabine Lake
GOOD. 83 degrees. Limits of trout and redfish can be caught on Sabine Lake trolling beneath the birds half ounce silver spoons, live shrimp under a popping or live shrimp with ⅛ ounce jig heads. Bait is flushing out of the marshes so redfish, trout and flounder are mixed in the marsh flats feeding on bait. Quarter ounce gold spoons. Fishing was slower in the ICW, but trout and redfish can still be caught on shell flats and bulkheads. Report by Captain Randy Foreman, Captain Randy’s Guide Service Sabine Lake.
Bolivar
FAIR. 84 degrees. Check the daily forecast or call your favorite bait shop for updates. Calm winds with four tide days changing back Friday to 2-3 tides means the fish are active multiple hours morning, noon and at night. Water temperatures are still hanging in the 80s in the bay and gulf. People are catching plenty of redfish, trout, and black drum everywhere. There are a few flounder and speckled trout being caught along with sand trout, croakers and crabs caught along the jetty. Report by Captain Shane Rilat, North Jetty Bait Camp.
