
Eugene J. Bouillion, Jr., 73, of Cypress, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on September 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 23, 1952, in Crowley, Louisiana, and later resided in Orange, Texas before making Cypress his home.
Gene was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved the simple pleasures of life—fishing, spending time with his family and dogs, and bringing joy to others with his sense of humor. Known for his quick wit and ability to make others laugh, he could fill a room with laughter.
He dedicated more than 20 years of his career as the Port Director of the Port of Orange, where his leadership and service left a lasting impact on the community.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Cheri Brammer Bouillion; his daughter, Traci Thomson, and her husband Will, of Cypress, Texas; and his four cherished grandchildren, Kade Bouillion, Jacob Thomson, Parker Thomson, and Kate Thomson. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorian Lee, Cecile Thibodeaux husband Faron, and Shawn Hoffpauir husband Ron, along with many nieces and nephews.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Joseph, Sr. and Maudrey LeBlanc Bouillion, and sister, Mary Sarah Bouillion.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to his caregivers, Isabella Badillo and Jaqueline Gomez, whose compassion and care brought comfort during his final journey home.
Gene will be remembered for his love of family, his faith, his humor, his devotion to service, and his kindness. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
