
Gene Bouillion, the longtime Port Director for the Port of Orange, passed away Sunday, September 28 at the age of 73.
Bouillion spent almost 21 years with the Port, leading them to record years and bringing in new business.
He retired in 2018 after losing his home to Hurricane Harvey. He and his wife of 50 years, Cheri, decided to move to Cypress to be closer to family.
The Bouillion’s also spent a lot of time at their camp on Toledo Bend.
When he retired, Port Commissioner Keith Wallace told KOGT, “I’ve worked with him for over 16 years. Gene’s loyalty, honesty and integrity are unmatched. He has been such a great asset to not only The Port of Orange but the County as a whole.”
