It was no surprise that the BC at LCM district match went five sets Tuesday night. The Lady Cards got the road win 20-25, 25-28, 25-22, 22-25, 15-7. “We knew it would be tough against them,” said first year coach Connor Nichols. “Our girls played their butts off and I’m so proud right now.” Key to victory? “I think our defense stepped up, especially after a lull in the middle. And then our offense kicked in.” BC (3-0) will play Vidor (1-2) at home on Friday. LCM (1-1) will travel to Jasper Friday.
