On Friday, August 14, 2015 at approximately 12:00 AM Deputy James Hollon of the Newton County Sheriffs Dept. conducted a traffic stop in the Hartburg area. The driver, Joel Stipeleovich of Orange, nor the passenger, Sarah Moehle of Orange, possessed a valid driver’s license to operate the vehicle.
The registered owner of the vehicle arrived on scene and gave Deputy Hollon verbal consent to search the vehicle before she took possession of it. Deputy Hollon located 15.8 grams of a crystal white substance inside the vehicle. A field test positively tested the substance for methamphetamine. Joel Stipeleovich and Sarah Moehle were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Felony of the Second degree in the State of Texas.
