The Celebration of Life for Mr. John G. Scott, Jr., 29, of Orange, will be Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11am, at the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home. Rites of Entombment will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens Mausoleums.
Visitation will be from 9am until 11am.
John Glenn Scott, Jr. was born December 21, 1995, in Beaumont, Texas. He passed August 16, 2025, in Orange, Texas. A member of the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, he grew up serving the Lord.
A 2014 graduate of West Orange-Stark High School, John was a true jock, and he also loved to joke. His legacy of smiles will always remain.
After graduation, John gave his service to his country, enlisting in the United States Army.
Completing his military duties, family and fatherhood became his priorities. Priorities that never ceased to grow and blossom.
John was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Herbert Richard and paternal grandparents, Victoria and Ray Scott.
Cherishing his memory are his two children, Mason King Scott and Marley Queen Scott and their mother, Sabrina McCranie; his mother, JoAnn Champine (Roland), father, John Glenn Scott, Sr. (Tina Simien), three
siblings, Marcus Scott (Robin), Brittany Scott, and Victoria Scott, maternal grandmother, Bessie Richard, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
