
Justine Elmore Hutson, 79, of Hull, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Magnolia Place Health Care in Liberty. She was born on July 3, 1946, in Orange, Texas, to the late Joseph Wallace and Pawaner Susie McPayne Elmore. Justine held many jobs over the years, some of which included: carhop, beautician, salesperson, home-health care worker, and homemaker.
On August 25, 1972, Justine married the love of her life, Lester (Earl). They spent the next 49 years devoted to each other while raising their beautiful family. They dedicated their lives to the Lord. Justice was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church for the past 7 years and was a former member of Deweyville U.P.C. for over 30 years.
If there was one word that could describe Justine, it would be flamboyant. Her personality, smile, style, and voice filled the room. She was a woman who commanded attention and thrived on the reactions she received from the people that loved her. Justine was known for speaking her mind and loving on everyone’s children. She had a creative flair that was exhibited through fixing hair for herself and numerous other ladies over the years. Her hobbies included playing games with her family, talking on the phone, shopping, going to church and singing to Jesus.
Justine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Roy, Patrick “Pat”, and James; her sister, Susie Mobert; and her beloved husband, Lester (Earl) Hutson. She leaves behind the cherish her loving memory, her daughters, Justina Shipman and husband Kasey of Hull, Texas, Ramona Huerta and husband Daniel of Deweyville, Texas, and Vera Scholz and husband Jeffrey of Houston, Texas; her grandsons, John and Thomas Lewis and Kaden Shipman; her great-grandson, Logan Lewis; her siblings Mary Fruge of Oberlin, Louisiana, Joseph “Bubba” Elmore of Orangefield, Texas, Deborah Kay Sadler of Buna, Texas, and Dallas Elmore of Hartburg, Texas; her numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Lewis, Rory Elmore, Bubba Hart, Jon Ferguson, Justin Frautschi, and Victor Huerta. Honorary Pallbearer is Petty Officer Second Class sailor, John Lewis.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in the chapel of New Life United Pentecostal Church, located at 2510 Jefferson Dr., Liberty, Texas 77575, beginning at 12:30 PM. A celebration of Justine’s life will follow at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Aaron DeLaughter officiating. A graveside and committal ceremony will take place immediately after at Moss Hill Community Cemetery in Moss Hill, Texas.
