The Stark Foundation invites the community to discover rewarding ways to get involved at their four Cultural Venues during the annual Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, August 19, at 5:30 p.m. at the Lutcher Theater located at 707 Main Avenue in Orange, TX.
The Volunteer Fair will highlight volunteer opportunities at Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center, The W.H. Stark House, Stark Museum of Art and the Lutcher Theater. Attendees can explore roles ranging from greeting at the gardens, sharing local history, welcoming theater patrons to helping with art programs.
This year’s theme, “Any Way You Slice It, Our Volunteers Are the Best Around,” celebrates the unique ways each volunteer makes a difference. There will be pizza to enjoy while learning how you can join the team.
“Whether you’re passionate about art, theater, history or nature, we have a place where your talents and interests can shine. Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to give back to your community,” said Lynae Sanford, director of Marketing for the Stark Cultural Venues.
The evening will include a short presentation highlighting the many ways to get involved, plus time to visit with current volunteers and staff. Whether you can give a few hours a month or several days a week, there’s a role that’s just right for you.
The Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation, a private operating foundation established in 1961, continues its founders’ legacy by enriching the quality of life in Southeast Texas. Through the programs of its Cultural Venues, the Foundation provides unique opportunities to explore and enjoy the arts, history and nature.
