Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies and US Border Patrol New Orleans Sector agents conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the discovery and seizure of a substantial amount of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia. This successful interdiction effort highlights the ongoing impact of advanced training and interagency cooperation in our region. The skills and techniques covered in the advanced crime interdiction course hosted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and DPS last week are already making a difference on the ground.
Sheriff Bobby Smith commended the deputies for their proactive work and emphasized the importance of continuing education in law enforcement. “This is exactly why we invest in training. When our deputies are equipped with the latest tools and knowledge, we all benefit—our roads, our schools, and our families are safer.”
