Velma Cormier, age 99, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas. A funeral service honoring Velma will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Dorman Funeral Home. Pastor Clark, officiating. Visitation of family and friends will be held at Dorman Funeral Home from 9:00 Am until 11:00 AM prior to service. Interment will follow services at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park.
Velma was born Monday, June 28, 1926, in Crowley, Louisiana, to parents Emma and Thomas Morgan. She was a resident of Orange, Texas, for seventy five years and worked as an LPN. Her sweet spirit and smile will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her.
Preceding Velma in death are her parents Emma and Thomas Morgan; loving husband, Ray Cormier; brother Paul Morgan; sisters, Thelma Istre, Margaret Breaux, Martha Prather, Audrey Gros, and Vivian Sandoz.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Ray Allen Cormier of Carson, California and Bryan Adam Cormier of Orange, Texas.
