
Barbara (Bobbie) Lee Rico Rule, age 81, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, under the care of Harbor Hospice, with her daughter by her side.
Bobbie was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Monday, May 8, 1944, to parents Anthony Carmine Rico and Juanita Mae Simpson. She had one sister, Donna Rico Horkans. In 1962 Bobbie married Arthur Ray Rule and together they had two children, Steven Ray Rule and Shari Marie Rule (LeBlanc). After Arthur passed away in 2016 Bobbie began attending Trinity Baptist Church. They welcomed her in with open loving arms and they quickly became her second family. She made so many wonderful friendships that she cherished. Bobbie loved her fur babies, especially the kitty cats. Over the years she took in many rescues and loved them like they were her own children. In her spare time, she loved watching Hallmark movies and game shows. She also loved rooting for her Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. Bobbie was a cherished Grandma to Kyle Rule (wife Hannah), Karli Smith (husband Jesse), Korey Rule, Troy LeBlanc and Trace LeBlanc as well as eight grandchildren, Brayden, Vanessa, Emma, Nathan, Helayna, Mason, Madison and Maddox.
Bobbie is survived by her devoted daughter Shari; daughter in law Lisa Rule; bonus son Grant Furst, both of whom she loved as her own children; two stepsisters Kay Odem and Geri Sue Snow.
Bobbie was known for her sweet loving personality as well as her caring thoughtful heart. To know Bobbie was to love Bobbie. She will be long remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
