
JoAnn Lynn Domingue (née Filbert), 66, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025. She was born on April 24, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was raised in New Jersey. JoAnn made Texas her home for the last 40 years and spent the past 26 years in Bridge City.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jesse Domingue; her three children, Lisa Disharoon, Tammy Disharoon, and PJ Disharoon; her stepchildren, Tannia Domingue, Kirby Domingue, Michelle Walker, Jesse Domingue Jr., and the late Jerry Domingue; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Kaley Simpson, Kassidy Simpson, Chad Jr. Simpson, Jax Disharoon, and Gatlyn Domingue — all of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
JoAnn is also survived by her sister, Helen Ercolani of New Jersey, and her brother, Harry Martin of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lee Filbert and Dorothy L. Filbert; her sister, Susan Filbert.
JoAnn spent much of her career in the dental field and retired in 2004. Sewing was a lifelong passion of JoAnn’s, and she took pride in creating handmade pieces for those she loved. She also enjoyed casino trips, playing games on her iPad, and could almost always be found with a cup of coffee in her hand.
She was raised in the Episcopalian faith before becoming a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Bridge City, Texas, where her faith remained a guiding light in her life.
A memorial gathering to celebrate JoAnn’s life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
