Roy A. McCollough, age 76, of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at his residence. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Dorman Funeral Home, Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service honoring Roy will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 27, 2025, at Dorman Funeral Home, Chaplain David Abshire, officiating. The family will hold a private burial.
Roy was born on Tuesday, February 15, 1949, in Burkeville, Texas, to parents Cecil and Annie McCollough. He grew up to be a Sergeant in the Marine Corp and fought in the Vietnam War, marry the love of his life Audrey, and have three beautiful children of his own. Roy loved his family and took great pride in teaching his kids and all their friends a love for the outdoors. One of his favorite things to do was run the ol Sabine River, plant massive vegetable gardens and have more animals running around the homestead than you could shake a stick at. Roy will be deeply missed and cherished by all that knew and loved him.
Roy is preceded in death by both his parents Cecil and Annie McCollough.
Those left to cherish Roy’s memory are his wife, Audrey McCollough; sons, Richard McCollough and Nathan McCollough; daughter, Amy Wood; grandsons, Jacob Collins, Dennis Collins, Quinten McCollough, Cecil McCollough; granddaughters, Lacie McCollough, Samantha Graham, Lauren McCollough; great grandchildren, Kaselynn Paige Collins, Aspen Blain Collins, Riggin Lane Collins, Audrey Joyce Graham, Abel Douglas Graham, Gunner Brem, Faith Brem and a host of family and friends.
Honoring Roy as pallbearers will be, Jacob Collins, Dennis Collins, Cecil McCollough, Quinten McCollough, Richard McCollough and Nathan McCollough.
