Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll has been announced as the new police chief in Nederland this week.
Carroll had been with VPD since 2017 and recently took on double duty serving as the City Manager for Vidor. He relieved Robbie Hood after he was not renewed last month.
Carroll says he’ll stay in Vidor until a city manager is hired. He believes the Vidor Police Dept. has several qualified officers available should the city go that direction.
