Friday morning the City of West Orange received its first historical marker as the 123 year old First Baptist Church of West Orange held its unveiling at the church on Dayton Street.
Margaret Toal spoke on behalf of the Orange County Historical Commission followed by the Opening Prayer from Stephen Quarles and the history of the church from Deacon James Hayes (below). Mayor Randy Branch read a proclamation and church clerk Meritta Kennedy read the marker after its unveiling followed by closing remarks from Henry Reese.
