A devoted Christian, Connie was a charter member of Victory Bible Baptist Church in Vidor since its founding in 1962. She was a faithful reader of her Bible and lived a life that reflected her deep love for Jesus—marked by grace, kindness, and unwavering faith.
Connie cherished her family above all. She had a sweet tooth, a gentle spirit, and a joyful heart that found delight in the simple things—gospel music, old westerns, playing Rummy and Yahtzee, and watching birds and squirrels from her window. Her presence was a source of warmth and comfort to all who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Vicki Anderson Watson of Vidor, TX, and Curtis Anderson and wife Lisa of Bridge City, TX; eight grandchildren: Bryan Watson, Heather Watson East, Ashley Watson Stephens, Brandon Watson, Blake Watson, Brad Anderson, Austin Anderson, and Tyler Anderson; and seven great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
Connie was preceded in death by her beloved siblings: William “Burl” Minton, Leroy “Po-Boy” Minton, Robert Archie “Bob” Minton, Otto Minton Jr., Richard Earl “Bud” Minton, Horace Eloy Minton, Lonnie Dean Minton, and Bessie Mae Minton, as well as her parents, Otto Minton Sr. and Sadie F. Warr Minton.
