
Janelle Boyd, 69, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on June 12, 2025, in Bridge City.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be her nephew, Donald Stevens, Jr.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Clarksville, Arkansas, on August 20, 1955, she was the daughter of Buddy Lloyd Stevens and Alma Mae Cook Moulder. She dedicated 23 years of her life to serving as a checker at HEB, where her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who encountered her. Janelle was a woman of many passions and interests. She had an enduring love for her family, with her granddaughters holding a special place in her heart. Known affectionately as “Nanah,” she was their greatest supporter and confidante. Her family meant everything to her, and she was a wonderful wife and mother, nurturing those around her with unwavering love. Outside of her family life, Janelle found joy in simpler pleasures. She had a fondness for shopping and an innate affection for animals, reflecting her gentle and caring spirit. Janelle’s ability to connect with people made her loved by everyone she met; she had a special way of making others feel valued and appreciated. As we remember the life of Janelle Boyd, we know that her legacy will continue to shine through the love she cultivated in her life, leaving behind cherished memories that will be held dear in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Alma Stevens; her brother, Bobby Stevens; and her parents-in-law, JL and Mildred Boyd.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert Boyd; her son, Robert Boyd II and wife, Kesha; her grandchildren, Kiley Boyd and Kristina Boyd; her siblings, Pam Gore, Betty Milum Billingsley and husband, Michael, Don Stevens and wife, Brenda, and Connie Pierce; her fur baby, Lily Belle; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
