
Sherri Ann Hebert Wright, 62, of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away on June 12, 2025, in Lafayette.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on June 6, 1963, she was the daughter of John Elix Hebert and Sarah Jane Broussard Hebert. Sherri graduated from West Orange Stark High School in 1981, later pursuing her studies at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette- Geaux Cajuns! She took great pride in her Cajun heritage. A passionate sports fan, Sherri had a special fondness for baseball. She was devoted to the Houston Astros and the Ragin’ Cajuns, she also brought her vibrant spirit to West Orange Stark football games. Her loyalty and enthusiasm for her teams animated the lives of those around her. Despite the challenges she faced during her brave 31-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Sherri remained an inspiration to all who knew her. Her unyielding spirit and refusal to complain spoke volumes about her character. She embraced each day with a great sense of humor, often sharing laughter with friends and family. Sherri’s love for movies, especially Disney films and old black-and-white classics, brought joy to her life. Her smile and her infectious laughter created cherished memories for everyone who was privileged enough to know her. On July 18, 1986, Sherri married her beloved husband, Marty. Their union was a beautiful testament to love, built on mutual support and admiration. Sherri was truly incredibly loved, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts of her family and friends. She will be profoundly missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in her journey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah Hebert.
She is survived by her loving husband, Marty Wright; parents-in-law, Alvin and Shirley Wright; her brother, Scott Hebert; her brother-in-law, Randall Wright and wife, Cindy; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Lucy and Penny.
Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Wright, Scott Hebert, and Randall Wright.
