Gene Wayne Ricks, age 68, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Gene was born in Port Arthur Texas on July 27, 1956, to Cecil and Betty Ricks.
Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing and running the table playing pool. He loved flipping homes and had remarkable carpentry skills. He loved to listen to Nirvana, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard, and Guns N’ Roses.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Betty Ricks.
Those left to cherish the memories are his loving wife of 19 years Terri Ricks; daughters, Amy (Tommy) Showers of China, Jamie (Chris) Hawkins of Conroe, Amanda (Craig) Madigan of China, Amy Lua of Groves, and Taylor (Bryana) Melancon of Bridge City and his sister Elaine (Greg) Bunn. He also leaves behind 11 grand kids and 1 great grandchild.
