The Bridge City Cardinals took a 4-0 lead and won Game One of the Region Final vs. Salado 6-2 in Waller on Thursday.
Coach Chad Landry called on pitcher Brady Havard and he delivered giving up one run on four hits in 5.1 innings with 4K’s. Slade Herman came in the sixth inning and gave up a run on a hit before max Pachar sat the Eagles down in order in the seventh.
Offensively Hunter Ford was 3-5 with a double and an RBI in the leadoff spot. CJ Riojas was 2-5 and Slade Landry was 2-3 with 2RBI’s.
Game 2 and 3 if necessary will be Saturday at 5pm at Lake Creek HS.
