Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Braus, 85 years old, of Bridge City, Texas died May 13, 2025.
Visitation will be at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2025. Pastor Josh Fults of First Baptist Church in Orange will be officiating.
Beth Braus was born in Rives, Missouri on December 1, 1939, to William & Ruby Long. She grew up in South Carolina & New York. Beth had four wonderful children that she raised in New York until the late 70’s. Beth moved her children to Texas and met and married the love of her life, Lloyd Braus. After her children were raised, Beth started a medical career in the 80’s. She worked at Orange Memorial Hospital as a surgery nurse assistant. Beth’s final job in the workforce was as a team leader for Crossmark at her beloved Walmart. Beth was witty, strong, beautiful, loving, opinionated, independent, devoted to her family, energetic, feisty, loved Jesus, infatuated with all things Elvis, had a green thumb, and was the unofficial Queen of Desserts. Beth will be greatly missed, but we rejoice as a family knowing she is in her final home with Jesus and those who have gone before her.
