
On Monday May 12, 2025 at about 5:30 pm a 1989 black Ford F-100, driven by nineteen-year-old Gavin Manasco was involved in a minor traffic accident on Highway 62 near FM 1078. Gavin Manasco left the scene of that accident. At about 5:45 pm he was observed by Officer Nash, of the Pinehurst Police Department, near Strickland Drive and Martin Luther King. Gavin Manasco fled from Officer Nash, going south on Strickland Drive, and struck another car near The Home Depot.
Gavin Manasco turned south onto Highway 87. He next collided with three cars at the intersection of FM 105. The truck driven by Manasco flipped several times and came to rest in the ditch. He received serious injuries as a result and was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital by Acadian EMS.
Two others were transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital from the crash scene at FM 105 with incapacitating injures.
The Bridge City Police Department, the Texas Highway Patrol, and the Orange Fire Department provided critical and necessary assistance with the investigation and management of this event.
The Orange Police Department and Pinehurst Police Department will continue this investigation.
