Gene “Bubbi” McDonald, age 86, took Jesus’ hand and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 4th, 2025.
Gene was born Monday, August 1, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska, to parents Dessie Irene and Benny Jackson McDonald. In his free time Gene loved fishing, carpentry, and working on old trucks. He loved telling stories, listening to music, Elvis, and puppies. Gene often called his precious puppy, Rocky, his angel. He retired from DuPont after 33 years.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents; Dessie Irene and Benny Jackson McDonald; brother, Benny Lee McDonald; and his precious wife of 30+ years, Priscilla Ann.
Those left to treasure his memories are his four daughters; Cindy Shults and husband Kile Sollock, Tena Hansen and husband Eddie Orozco, Laura Ellen and her husband Raymond Konecny and Misty Layne Monceaux; twin sister, Jeanette McAnally; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank friends Lynn and Randy Day (Angels) for providing so much loving care and stability for several years. Lynn and Randy has truly been a God send.
A private gathering with family and friends will be held Saturday, May 10th, at 2 pm.
