Following an early morning accident May 1 that took the life of a 21 year old Vidor man, Texas DPS believed a black truck had left the scene and they were asking for the publics assistance.
UPDATE: Through further investigation, it has been determined that the crash was not a hit-and-run crash and that DPS is no longer searching for an involved dark colored vehicle. It was determined that the 2019 Ford passenger car was traveling west, while the 2015 Dodge passenger car was traveling east. It is reported that the driver of the 2025 Chevrolet SUV failed to yield to the Ford when she pulled from a private drive and struck it, causing it to then spin into the oncoming lane, where it was struck by the Dodge.
