On May 3, 2025 at 2:15 pm the Orange Police Department, Orange Fire Department, and Acadian EMS responded to the 3100 Block of Edgar Brown Drive regarding a traffic accident. The initial investigation found that a black Kia Carnival van, travelling north on Edgar Brown crossed into the south bound lane of travel. There, the van collided with a Honda motorcycle and a white Toyota 4-Runner.
The driver of the motorcycle, fifty-two-year-old Howard Elmore of Port Neches, Texas received serious injuries and was transported to St Elizabeth Hospital. He later succumbed to those injuries.
This event remains under investigation by the Orange Police Department.
