Sheriff’s Report
Terroristic Threat at Deweyville High School:
On Friday, April 25, 2025, the Newton County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Deweyville High School in reference to a Terroristic Threat. When Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on scene, they were able to confirm there was no immediate threat to public safety and began interviewing witnesses and the suspect. During the investigation, Newton County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to determine based off video evidence from a social media platform, Nickolas Slayde White, committed the offense of Terroristic Threat. Deputies transported White to the Newton County Jail. I am proud of the great communication between NCSO and the staff at Deweyville ISD to ensure the safety of the students.
