Clarence “Andy” Roland Anderson, 92, of Vidor, passed away Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, at Buckner Calder Woods in Beaumont. A native of Fayette County, Alabama, Andy made Vidor his home for many years and became a beloved part of the community.
He was a longtime member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor, where he faithfully served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher, sharing his wisdom, faith, and love for the Lord with generations of families. Andy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later dedicated his career to helping others as the longtime service manager for Reed Service. Eventually, he went on to become the owner and operator of Action Air and AAA, earning a reputation for honesty, hard work, and friendly service.
Andy had a deep love for the outdoors—he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising cows. Some of his favorite times were spent in Branson, Missouri, where he and his wife took in countless music concerts together over the years. His love for life was as steady as his work ethic, and he brought joy and calm wherever he went.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Betty Anderson of Vidor, TX; his children Eddie Anderson and wife Kelly of Houston, TX, and Keith Anderson and wife Cindy of Vidor, TX; his grandchildren Brooke Medley and husband James, Philip Anderson and wife Carson, and Bruce Anderson; and five great-grandchildren: Hayden, Hannah, Hadlee, Olivia, and Charles.
Andy was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Lindsay Kilmer.
His legacy of faith, family, and service lives on in those who knew and loved him.
