
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats stay perfect in district play with an 8-1 win over the Kountze Lionettes. Teal Kibodeaux got the win on the mound giving up just 3 hits with 13 strikeouts.
Charlee Sanches led the offense with a single off the wall, a 2 RBI double, and 2 runs scored. Hallee Becker added 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases. Jocelynn Droddy had a single, an RBI and a walk. Teal Kibodeaux had a single and a run scored. Kenli Vacek had a double and an RBI. Laila Agerton had a walk and 2 runs scored. Madi LaSalle had a walk and a run scored. The Lady Bobcats improve to 27-4 on the year and 11-0 in district play and will celebrate their two seniors, Alysen Vincent and Audrey Sonnier this coming Tuesday vs. Warren beginning at 6:00. Senior recognition will begin at 5:45.

Silsbee scores in the bottom of the seventh to beat Bridge City 1-0. After a Lady Tiger was walked, Silsbee tripled to center to end the game. Silsbee outhit BC 4-3. Jensyn Yeaman had two of BC’s hits and the other came from Makenna Knight. Both pitchers went the distance with LaComb for BC and Byars for the Tigers.

LCM 12 Lumberton 1 – Ella Stephenson struck out 6 and held Lumberton to 3 hits. Lexi Moss lead the Lady Bears (9-0) offensively going 2-5 with a 2 RBI’s. Kendall Jones also had 2 RBI’s.

Vidor beat WOS 16-1 in three. Avery Harrington was 3-3 with an RBI and Madison Perkins was 2-3 with 3RBI’s. McKenzie Grass was the winning pitcher. The two hits for WOS came from Kyla Blagburn and S. Smith.

It was deja vu for the Deweyville Lady Pirates as they lost to Danbury 3-0 despite 12K’s from Baylee Smith. Once again Danbury scored all of their runs in one inning (6th).

BASEBALL
LCM suffered their first district loss, losing to Lumberton 4-1. After the Bears took a 1-0 in the 4th, the Raiders scored 2 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th. The Bears only had three hits (Seago, Bandiero, Scheiderer) against Aiden Marshall who got the complete game win. Landon Richards took the loss.

Bridge City defeated Silsbee 7-3 as Ashton Sumrall went 3-4 with a HR and a double. Tucker, Herman and Goodwin combined to strikeout 5 and walk one.

Deweyville lost to Danbury 16-6. Slade Gunter was 2-4 with 4RBI’s for the Pirates.

Vidor defeated WOS 10-1. Pirates scored 6 of those runs in the third.

Orangefield was shutout by Kountze 4-0. Kaleb Menard had the only hit in the game for OF as two Kountze pitchers combined to strike out 10 Bobcats (6-2).
