The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate Highway 10, near the 880-mile marker, that occurred Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 2 p.m., a Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling west. It is reported that for an unknown reason at this time, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck the right side of the truck tractor and impacted the concrete barrier.
The driver of the truck tractor, identified as 41-year-old Jacques Wagner of Florida, was not injured.
The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on scene by a Justice of the Peace. He’s been identified as 58 year old Timothy Gilbertson of San Leon, Tx.
