
Sam H. Peveto, 80, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. A visitation to celebrate the life of Sam will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 12:00 pm till 2:00 pm, at Dorman Funeral Home. A graveside service to be held immediately after, at Peveto Cemetery, in Orange, Texas. Officiating the service will be Dee Barrow.
Sam was born on September 19, 1944, in Orange, Texas to Horace Marion Peveto and Eva Lola Stoffer. Sam was a firefighter with the City of Orange for many years. He enjoyed building homes and developing land in the community. He loved to farm, hunt and travel, but what he loved to do the most was sit on his front porch, in his handmade red rocking chair, listening to country music.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Simon Peveto, Marion Peveto, and Glen Peveto; and his son, Mark Peveto.
Those left to cherish Sam’s memory are his daughters, Cindy Ribeiro (Joe), Samantha Haymon (Ronnie), Renee Fontenot (Brent), Jeannie Zenos (Kemon), and Kayla Kahl (Travis); brother Wayne Peveto; grandchildren, Kaleb Vidalier, Stephanie Lechadoores, Lindsey Fontenot, Kameron Vidalier, Brittany Ribeiro, Lauren Fontenot, Roman Haymon, and Kaylee Vidalier; several great grandchildren and of course his beloved dog, KK, who was by his side at all times.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Harbor Hospice for the kind care they gave Sam during his illness.
Honoring Sam as Pallbearers will be; Joe Ribeiro, Travis Key, Kevin Vidalier, Kaleb Vidalier, Kameron Vidalier, Roman Haymon, and Brent Fontenot.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Haymon, Rex Peveto, Eric Peveto, Brent Peveto, and Kenny Peveto.
