Just before 4pm Thursday, the Bridge City Fire Dept. was called to 1571 Texas Ave. where an apartment complex had flames coming out of the roof.
Everyone got out according to firefighters on the scene. It’s estimated that eight units were destroyed. The cause is under investigation.
All four OCESD’s were on scene and Texas Ave. was closed for a while so departments could fight the fire. The Red Cross was called in to assist.
