A.J. was born in Port Arthur, Texas, and passed away on February 12, 2025, at Houston Methodist Hospital, with his loving wife, Bobbie, by his side. A.J. adored his family and friends with all of his heart. He was a retired pipefitter, Local 195. A.J. never met a stranger and was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. His passions were fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and golfing. A.J. was such a prankster and loved making people laugh. He was an active volunteer with the Port Arthur Sertoma Club and deeply respected the mission of the club and was very proud of the work they did. A.J. coached little league baseball, girls’ basketball, and girls’ softball, and he loved all of the kids and most of the parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Bobbie; his beloved daughter, Jill Brittain and husband, Bryson; his precious grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Emmah Grace-Lemoine Brittain, and Ethan Douglas Brittain; and his loving and devoted siblings, Tommy Lemoine, Gerald Lemoine and wife, Monica, Sherie Trahan and husband, Herman, Julie Ferguson and husband, Bobby, and Vallie Lesmeister and husband, Joey.
He is preceded in death by his parents, A.J. Lemoine, Sr. and Gloria Lemoine.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Mark Bunch.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
In lieu of flowers, an offering can be made to the Port Arthur Sertoma Club at P.O. Box 1563, Groves, Texas, 77619.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
