Jason Matthew Holmes, 48, of Vidor, passed away on Friday, February 7th, 2025, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.
A creative soul and true Renaissance man, Jason was an artist, author, woodworker, comedian, and protector. He was deeply dedicated to his roles as a loving father, devoted son, cherished husband, doting grandpa, and loyal best friend. Known for his chivalry, humility, and thoughtfulness, Jason’s life was a testament to hard work, love, and dignity. His vast knowledge and unwavering reliability made him a pillar of strength for his family and community. He proudly owned and operated Vidor Chiropractic Clinic for 20 years, providing compassionate care and healing to countless members of the community.
Jason is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Holmes of Vidor, TX; daughters Taylor Holmes (husband Dominick Findley) of Buda, TX, Abby Holmes (spouse Ronan Iravani) of Goodyear, AZ, and Bella Holmes (spouse Nathan Bullard) of Vidor, TX; and stepson Patrick Sanchez (wife Cami) of Houston, TX, and mother Susan Carol Holmes of Vidor, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Randall Holmes, and stepmother Beverly Stassi. He was also survived by his siblings Emily Allen (husband Dereck Allen) of Orange, TX, and Derrick “Big Red” Holmes (wife Laura) of Beaumont, TX, and stepfather Pete Stassi. Jason leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and patients who will forever remember his warmth, humor, and kindness.
Services to celebrate Jason’s remarkable life will be held at Turning Point Church in Vidor on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and continue until the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.
