On Tuesday, local golf teams competed in the Vidor Varsity Boys Invitational, which was held at Brentwood Country Club of Texas, in Beaumont. Orangefield’s Lincoln Parks finished in the runner up spot, shooting a 1 under par 71. In the team standings, Hardin-Jefferson and Beaumont Kelly finished in the top 2 spots with a team total of 312, followed by Orangefield finishing 3rd, with a team total 331. The Orangefield team consisted of Lincoln Parks (71), Zack Morrow (82), Gavin Gravett (84), Peyton Revia (94), and Branden Greenway (114). The teams will be traveling to Eagle Point, in Mont Belvieu next week to compete in the Anahuac Invitational.
On Wednesday, the boys JV orange golf team competed in the Anahuac Invitational, which was held at Liberty Municipal golf course, in Liberty. In the individual medalist race, Orangefield had 2 players crack the top 10 with Gavin Reyes finishing in 3rd shooting an 88 and Logan Anderson finishing 7th with an 89. In the team standings, the Bobcats finished 3rd with a team total of 368. The JV orange consisted of Gavin Reyes (88), Logan Anderson (89), Andy Rutledge (94), Anthony Thomas (97), and Noah Gleason (98). The JV white team will be traveling to Beaumont next week to compete in the Lumberton Invitational.
