Jeroline “Jeri” May, 86, of Vidor, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 26th, 2025. A longtime resident of Vidor, Jeri will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and love for her family.
Jeri retired as an accountant after 23 dedicated years with Mobil Oil Federal Credit Union in Beaumont. Beyond her career, she found joy in sewing and quilting, often creating treasured pieces for her loved ones. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her care and affection.
She is survived by her children, Debra Scott and husband Charles of Beaumont, TX, and Tammy McFarland and husband Phillip of Vidor, TX; her daughter-in-law Carolyn May of Waller, TX; and her brother, Haskel Brothers of Greenville, South Carolina.
Jeri’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Brittanie Fowler, Cristan Steimel, Magan Rutledge, Mallorie Montalbano, Niki Emerson, Cassandra Corona, and Trinity McFarland; and her great-grandchildren: Blayden Laughlin, Brittlee Laughlin, Ricky Corona, Ellie Corona, Micayla Rader, Brady Emerson, Anzleigh Parrott, Macston Rutledge, Braxton Emerson, Braxton Fowler, Christian Corona, Maximus Steimel, Brylee Fowler, Nathan Emerson, and Huxleigh Montalbano.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Lee May Sr.; her sons, Carl Lee May Jr. and John Walter May; and her grandchildren, Miranda Michelle McFarland and Phillip Dion McFarland III.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Texas Children’s Hospital in honor of Phillip McFarland III.
Jeri’s warmth and devotion to her family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
