The LCM Lady Bears opened District 18-4A with a 52-29 win over Jasper. Keylie Washburn lead a balanced attack with 12, Kendall Jones had 9, Eden Frenzel 7 and Emily Smith and Taylor Huckaby added 6 each. The Lady Bears (8-0, 1-0) will play in the PNG Tournament beginning Thursday. The JV got the night started with a 41-16 win. Aliviah Jasso had 11 points, and Haylynn Trosclair had 9.
Orangefield 69 Hardin 38 – Lady Bobcats 1-0 in 22-3A play
Rebecca Durbin had an outstanding game with a double-double, 16 points and 11 rebounds. Mikayla Locke also had 17 points of the night with 5 steals and 4 rebounds. Finally, Brooklyn Wagoner had 13 points and 7 assists. The JV came up short with the final 40-23. Steeley Franklin led the night with 11 points and 4 rebounds. Melissa Saucedo and Nicole Gay each had 3 points and 5 rebounds. The Varsity Lady Bobcats will be traveling to the West Tournament in Waco to play Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
