Pauline Bullitt Cooper, 93, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 23, 2024, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in Orange.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 1,2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Aloha, Louisiana, on November 6, 1931, she was the daughter of Willie Paul Bullitt and Annie Breshers Bullitt. She attended school at Aloha and also went to Montgomery High School. On Nov. 5 —- she married Cpl. James H. Thomisee, who was then stationed at Lubbock, Texas with the Army Air Corps. They had one son, Ricky Lynn, Born December 8, 1952. Later, Pauline and Ricky moved from Lubbock to Orange, where Pauline was employed at Little Cypress Jr. High School for 26 years. In later years, she married Earl Cooper and remained in Orange after retirement. She was lovingly known as “Maw Maw” to her grandchildren, whom she loved endlessly. Pauline will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Annie Bullitt; her husbands, Jimmie Thomisee and Earl Cooper; her brother, Bertman Bullitt; her daughter-in-law, Rebrecca Thomisee; and her sister, Estelle Verna Bullitt Denton.
She is survived by her loving son, Ricky Thomisee; her grandsons, Damon Paul Thomisee and wife, Jackie, and Dustin Jay Thomisee and wife, Erica; her great-grandsons, Mason Thomisee, and Ethan Thomisee; her sisters, Effie Crawford of Orange, and Doris Sonnier of Claxton, Georgia; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Damon Thomisee, Dustin Thomisee, Greg Denton, Manuel Ramon, George Gentzer, and Travis Meredith.
