Jack C Daniels, beloved husband, father, grandfather, passed on November 15,2024, at Jefferson Nursing and Rehab in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on January 13, 1936, in Orange, Texas. Jack lived a full and vibrant life, touching the hearts of all who knew him with his generous spirit and sense of humor.
A skilled diesel mechanic, Jack dedicated many years to Mobil Chemical, where he honed his craft and earned the respect of his peers. His educational pursuits included attaining a degree in automotive electronics from Lamar University, where he graduated at the top of his class with honors. Jack’s achievements did not end there; he also represented his school as a member of the basketball team and earned the distinction of valedictorian.
Jack’s military service in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959 was marked by his spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship, as he took part in boxing during his service. His love for sports extended beyond his military days, as he was an enthusiastic fan, particularly of horse racing, and enjoyed playing pool as an expert in the game.
In addition to his career and interests, Jack was known for his outgoing personality and caring nature. He loved his family immensely and dedicated time to nurturing those relationships. Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley Daniels, and his daughters: Renee Eaves and her husband Dale, Kimberly Daniels, Denise Daniels, and Debra Wright and her husband Kenny. His legacy continues with grandchildren Justin Eaves, Ellen Khan, Amanda Barrett, Colby Ward, Amber Milton, and Katie Persley, as well as great-grandchildren Andrew Anderson, Adelyn Walker, Zain Khan, and Zara Khan.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Kelley, and brother, Leroy Daniels.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on November 18, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, located at 1750 TX-12, Vidor, TX 77662. A funeral service will be held on November 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Restlawn Memorial Park at 12:00 PM.
Jack C Daniels will forever be remembered for his passion for life, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
