
The Presidential race is certainly the headliner of the November 5 Election but it’s not the only thing on the ballot.
U.S. Representative Randy Weber (R-TX 14) is being challenged by Democrat Rhonda Hart.
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R) is challenged by Colin Allred (Dem) and Libertarian Ted Brown.
Locally, those voters served by Orange County Emergency Services District #3 will be voting two at-large commissioners. The four on the ballot are Scott McDonald, Jeremy Kent Nichols, Cathy Drake, and Jeff Braus.
OCESD #1 is also voting for two at-large commissioners. The three running are Wyatt Boyett, Ronnie Herrera, and Rose Luce.
The Vidor ISD has proposed a $98.4 million bond issue for district wide improvements.
Orangefield ISD has an election for Place 3 on the school board. Those running are Richard Lasseigne, Jr., Dustin Loga, and Jude Graffagnino. The incumbent Dr. Ronald Risinger is not running for re-election.
