Linda Cotton Brasher, a beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully in Beaumont, Texas on September 29, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on November 5, 1943, in Beaumont, Linda was a proud graduate of Vidor High School and went on to become a cherished of her community and a dedicated family woman.
Described by those who knew her as adventurous, witty, and kind, Linda had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special. She had a genuine passion for family, often gathering those she loved around her table, sharing meals and creating lasting memories. Her love extended beyond mere presence; she was always engaged in her children’s activities and found great joy in giving gifts that brightened their lives.
Linda is survived by her children: Kelly Carder and her husband JJ of Vidor, TX; Casey Brasher and Danielle of Mont Belvieu, TX; and Clint Brasher and Wendy of Vidor, TX. She took immense pride in her grandchildren: Lyndsey Cox, Chelsie Duhon, Summer Rees, Saber Brasher, Madison Flickinger, Emma Fondren, Derek Brasher, Adam Brasher, Zachary Brasher, Violet Brasher, and Cohen Brasher. Additionally, she was a doting great-grandmother to Ethan, Nathan, Ella, Lily, Charlie, Ally, and Grey, drawing joy and warmth from each of them.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Brasher, her parents Bill and Doris Cotton, and her sister Vicky Clark. Their memories will remain cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to honor Linda’s legacy during the visitation scheduled for October 3, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, located at 1750 TX-12, Vidor, Texas. The funeral service will take place the following day, October 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the same location, followed by interment at Restlawn Memorial Park, 2725 North Main Street, Vidor, Texas, at 11:00 AM.
Linda Cotton Brasher will be remembered as a pillar of strength and love, whose spirit continues to live on through her family and all the lives she touched.
