Raymond Lee Kolar, age 84, of Orange, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. A Mass will be held Tuesday July 23, 2024 from 2:00 to 3:00, at St. Francis of Assisi’s on Meeks Drive; Father Sinclair officiating. Visitation of family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Dorman Funeral Home. Arrangements were made under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
On Friday, May 10, 1940, Raymond Kolar was born to proud parents Henry and Wilma Kolar, in LaSalle Texas. Raymond was a member of the U.S. Army and while stationed in Limestone Maine met the love of his life Hope Kolar. Together they had 3 beautiful children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He worked as a Supervisor at James River for 35 years and retired at the age of 56. Raymond loved cooking, fishing, gardening, and camping with many great memories made with family and friends at Shell Bank and Canyon Lake. Until his final day his greatest loves were his wife, visiting the casino, and spending time with his great children.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Wilma Kolar and Henry Kolar; brother, Clarence Kolar; sister, Doris McNabb; son, Randy Kolar and grandson’s, Derek Anderson and Joshua Storey.
Those left to cherish Raymond’s memory are his loving wife of 64 years Hope Kolar; brother Larry Kolar; sister Sylvia Gentry and Husband Bill; daughter Lori Anderson and Husband Danny; son, Jeff Kolar and wife Christine; daughter in law, Lauree Kolar; grandchildren, Brittany Wheeler and husband Nathan, Ashley Kolar and Husband Will, Stephanie Hoffpauir and Husband Michael, Alex Kolar and Wife Flavia, Blake Kolar, Chaston Kolar, Lacey Browning and Husband Darius; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Madi, Jackson, Jillian, Jordyn, Londyn, Averi, Kennedi, Allie, Oliver, Nevaeh, AJ, Madison, Kinsley.
As well as many Nieces, Nephews and extended family.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking to please donate to St. Jude.
