A new guardrail at the new Adams Bayou turnaround probably kept two people dry early Sunday morning.
At approximately 2am two people in a Chevy Malibu were traveling eastbound on the I-10 Service Rd. in Orange.
For years you have been able to take the service road across Adams Bayou but the bridges were eliminated by TxDOT during recent construction on I-10 and turned into only turnarounds under the interstate.
The Malibu struck the guardrail hard but fortunately it stopped them before the vehicle entered the water. The fire department used their Jaws of Life tool to remove the busted guardrail. The two occupants of the vehicle reportedly had minor injuries.
