She was born May 25, 1960, in Orange, Texas and died July 15, 2024, in Ogden, Utah.
Ivah Rose Pendley, 64 of Ogden, Utah passed away on July 15, 2024, at home after a battle with cancer. Ivah was born to Dennis and Carol Colsh. She was the 4th of 6 children. The family moved often, residing at various times in Texas, New Jersey, and ended up in Roy, Utah in 1974, where she met the love of her life, Eddie Joe. She attended Roy High School and graduated in 1978. The next week she married her sweetheart, Eddie Joe Pendley. They had three boys: Jason, Matthew, and Joshua. Ivah worked at various companies including IRS, Chromalox, and ended up retiring from US Foods as a clerk.
Ivah loved dogs, playing cards with friends, reading, but mostly she liked being with her grandkids. She had a special bond with all 6 of her grandchildren. When the grandchildren were born she would try to be the first one to see the new baby, or hear the first cry. She quilted with her eldest granddaughter, Sierra, took Jayden to get his “man-cakes” (pancakes) from McDonald’s. Cordelia would have sleepovers in grandma’s bed and every night at 7:30 they would have a goodie to share. Ivah would come and watch the two youngest grandkids Mina and Layla play dress up, swim, and watch their shows so they could have a dance party. Ivah had an amazing sense of humor and always made people laugh. She was so much fun to just sit and shoot the breeze with. She was an amazing wife, aunt, sister, friend, and grandma and we will miss her dearly.
Ivah is survived by her husband, Eddie Joe; her three sons: Jason (Alysa), Sierra and Jayden, Matthew (Cassie), Mina and Layla, and Joshua (Desirae), Cordelia; her brother, Robert Colsh and his boys: Tyler, Cody, and Jared; her sister, Evelyn Herold (Larry) and her boys: Bryan, Kevin, Nick, and Luke; father, Dennis Colsh; and her chihuahua, Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Buchanan; stepfather, Stanley Buchanan; granddaughter, Alexis; and her twin sisters, Carron and Carolyn.
