
Willie A.E. Hairston, 22, of Orange, Texas peacefully entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, March 23, from 12:00 P.M until 2:00 P.M. at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 106 W. Park Avenue, Orange, Texas. The Celebration of Life begins at 2:00 P.M. Entombment will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens & Cemetery in Orange, Texas under the care and direction of Calvary Mortuary, Beaumont, Texas.
Willie was born on November 29, 2001, in Gulfport, Mississippi to Susan Crockett and Chris Hairston.
After accepting Christ as his own personal savior, Willie was baptized in Mount Olive Baptist Church by Pastor Ronnie A.E. Crockett, Sr. where he faithfully served as a junior deacon, participated in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and sang in the Youth Choir. Willie also served in Trinity Valley Missionary Baptist Association Youth Department as the Youth President and the BM&E State Convention.
He attended Kids2college and when he was older, he became a group leader.
Willie graduated from West Orange Stark High School in 2020. He was a member of the National Honor Society. Willie developed a love of reading at a very early age. He loved the Percy Jackson books. Willie participated in football, powerlifting and theatre arts.
Willie graduated from Lamar State College Orange with his certificate in general studies.
Willie has served as a permanent substitute teacher with the Victoria Independent School District where he loved the opportunity to be a mentor to many students.
Willie was employed by Lowe’s in Scottsdale, Arizona where his smile and sweet spirit will be missed.
Willie was an amazing young man. He was always willing to help someone or give them an encouraging word. Willie was an avid video gamer and loved his gamer friends. He loved anime. He enjoyed playing board games and holiday tournaments became a serious competition.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories always, his “Grannie and Grampa” Pastor Ronnie A.E. and Dr. Suzonne Lynette Holmes Crockett; his “Little Sister” Terran Lynette Guillory; his “First Cousin Crew” Amari, Malissa, Prince, Macayla, Alexander, Jon Ashton, Alanna, Andree, Malia and Amir; his parents, Susan Crockett Bek ( Benjamin) and Chris Hairston; his Dad, Terry J. Guillory, Jr.; his “Aunite and Uncle Jay”, Millicent and Jonathan Hightower; his “Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Joslyn”, Ronnie A.E. and Joslyn Crockett; his “Uncle Clarence and Nana Bam” Clarence and Miquendria Crockett, his great-aunt, Evelyn Singleton; his great-great aunts Bettye Dean Hillman, LouCinda Sinegal, Earline Thomas and Freda Benson; Godfather Bishop Ollis Whitaker and many other family and friends.
Willie also leaves his fury companions Wade Crockett and his cat Sarina whose kittens he helped bring into the world.
Willie was preceded in death by his great-uncles, Charlie Mack Singleton and Leroi Holmes, Jr. and his godmothers Annie B. King and Debra Johnson.
Willie is loved by all.
