
On Monday, March 18, detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Dept. received a tip in reference to Tyler Lewis possibly being in the Beaumont area. Detectives made contact with the Beaumont Police Department at which time officers were dispatched and they located Lewis at a residence in Beaumont. Lewis was taken into custody and booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
Lewis, from Orange County, was involved in a drive by shooting in Lake Charles March 2 that killed 65 year old Annette D. Touvell. The other three involved were located and arrested two days after the shooting.
Lewis has been charged with second degree murder. Judge Bobby Holmes set bond at $1 million.
