The deadline to file for a spot on a school board was Feb. 16 and Vidor ISD will be the only school in Orange County that will have an election on May 4. Incumbent Carrie Vincent has two challengers, Matthew Dewitt and Paul Davis.
Bridge City, West Orange-Stark and Little Cypress-Mauriceville will get to cancel their elections because no one filed to run against those who are up for re-election.
Tammy Rountree will keep her seat at LCM. Paul Zoch and Judy Cole will continue their service at BCISD and Roderick Robertson and Tricia Stroud return to their chairs at WOCCISD.
Orangefield ISD has their school board election in November.
