The Battle of the Border Tournament is Wednesday and Thursday in Lake Charles pitting teams from Texas against Louisiana schools.
On Wednesday the Bridge City Cardinals beat St, Fredericks 65-54. A. Gutierrez paced four players in double figures with 20 pts and 10 steals. L. Breaux had 14 and 7 boards. A. Bush added 14 and J.Carlin 11.
Vidor also played across the river and the Pirates defeated Vinton 58-53.

Also on Wednesday, LCM (6-11) went to Anahuac and lost to the Panthers 63-56. A. Winn scored 16 for the Bears and Jayden Benton added 13.
